When we connect with people who are committed to following Jesus, we set ourselves up for the support and encouragement we need to thrive.

INTERESTED IN LEADING A GROUP?

You don’t have to be perfect to lead a group. And you don’t need to be a Bible scholar to be used by God to lead others. Group leaders create a place where people can be real and grow. They get front-row seats to the faith journeys of others and find that their faith grows along the way.

LEADER TOOLS

Curious about group leadership? It’s easier than ever to lead because we’re providing everything you need, including weekly studies, ideas for socials, and more. We provide the plan. You provide the leadership. Take a step and see how God can use you to create a place for people to connect and grow.

Small Groups at Cornerstone Family Church:  Building Strong Communities

At Cornerstone Family Church, we believe that the church is not just a building but a community of believers. That's why we have Small Groups - a place where people can connect, grow, and support each other on their faith journey. Here, we will dive into what these Groups are, how they work, and why they are important.

What are Small Groups?

Small Groups are a vital part of the Cornerstone Family Church community. They comprise 6-12 people who meet regularly to connect, study the Bible, pray, and support each other. The Groups meet in various locations - homes, coffee shops, on-campus, and more - and come in different formats - men's, women's, mixed, young adult, etc. Small groups are led by passionate facilitators who enjoy helping others grow in their relationship with God.

How do Small Groups work?

Groups typically meet once a week for 1-2 hours. Meetings can vary, but they usually include time for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. The content of the Bible study can vary depending on the group's preference, but all groups are encouraged to use resources approved by Cornerstone Family Church, such as sermon series or other small group curriculum. The Groups also serve as a place where members can share their prayer requests and offer support to one another.

Why are Small Groups important?

Small Groups are an essential part of the Cornerstone Family Church community for several reasons: The Groups provide a safe space for people to connect with others. In a world where social media can make us feel more isolated than ever, Small Groups offer a place where people can build real relationships and have face-to-face conversations. These Groups help people grow in their faith. Bible study and prayer are essential for spiritual growth and provide a structured environment for people to do so.

Small Groups and Serving Others

Small Groups also offer a place for people to serve others. Small Groups can serve their communities through outreach projects, volunteer work, or simply supporting one another in need. Small Groups help people feel connected to the larger church community. They are a way to connect with others outside of Sunday morning services and to feel like a part of the Cornerstone Family. Small Groups are an integral part of the Cornerstone Family Church community. These Groups provide a space for people to connect, grow, serve, and feel a part of something bigger than themselves.
